Description:

Two Cashmere Shawls with Embroidered Designs, probably 19th century, one ivory with polychrome floral embroidery and fringe, the other in light green with primarily red paisley embroidery, each with continuous border design and corner decorations, 62 x 64 and 62 x 140 in., respectively.

Provenance: Formerly property of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.

A few small moth like holes to ivory shawl, green with some scattered holes and some staining/discoloration.
