American School, 19th Century

Pair of Portraits of a Young Man and Woman. Unsigned. Pastel on paperboard, 13 3/4 x 11 in., mounted in matching period tiger maple frames with corner blocks. Condition: Both with tears and minor foxing.
Estimate $800-1,200

Woman has an angled tear from c.l. edge through to upper left-facing eye and forehead to hairline, man has a long curved tear around bottom and up left side about 4 in.
