French Ormolu and Alabaster Thermometer, late 19th/early 20th century, surmounted by a gilded white metal captain at a ship's wheel titled "Le Pilote," the reverse indistinctly signed, above temperature gauge with results in Celsius and Fahrenheit, on an Art Nouveau-style foliate base with four feet, unmarked, total ht. 16 7/8 in.
