The four main plant designs are all made from one piece, not several stiched together, they are stitched onto four large white cotton squares. The red border is made from several segments, each plant, circle, and connecting vine is one separate piece,(except for one circle made from two pieces),then appliqued to the white foundation of four wide long strips of white cotton. There is machine stitching joining the four large center squares, the wide border segments, and the edging.
