Rosewood Table Screen with Jade Plaques, China, late 19th century, inset with jade plaques dated from the Ming to Qing dynasty, four of pale celadon color, carved in the shape of Qilin, rams, makara, and a boy holding a fish, respectively, four hemispherical jade of bright green color, two agate plaques, and four hemispherical soapstones (one missing), the screen intricately carved with flower scrolls overall, ht. 21 3/8, celadon jade plaques lg. 2 1/2, 2 5/8, 2 1/8, 2 in.
