Description:

Powder Blue Glazed Inkwell, China, Kangxi six-character mark and of the period (1662-1723), originally intended as water pot, Taibai zun, with the short neck cut down and mounted with brass into an inkwell, the domed body incised with three dragon roundels and covered with powder blue glaze, the cover inset with a celadon jade plaque carved and pierced with chilong, lingzhi, and an auspicious character, ht. 3 1/8 in.

Good condition overall, ground down mouth, loss to part of the finial
