Pair of Porcelain Hu Vases, China, Republican period, each flanked by blue seeded archaic scroll lugs, the body finely painted in famille verte palette with a panel of a scholar and attendant crossing a bridge in a mountainous landscape, the other side with a wintry scene, reserved on an orange red ground with stylized lotus meanders in gilt, Qianlong mark to the turquoise glazed base, ht. 8 3/4 in.
