Pair of Wucai Covered Jars, China, early 19th century, the ovoid bodies finely painted in wucai palette with a parading scene with an official riding on a foo dog to one side, and children playing in landscape to the other, between ruyi collars around the rim and upright lappets above the foot, the domed covers decorated en suite, surmounted by a finial in the shape of double peaches borne on leafy stem, mark to the base, one wood stand, ht. 6, dia. 4 in.
