Description:

Longquan Celadon Bowl, China, Yuan dynasty (1279-1368), the deep bowl supported on a short sturdy foot, carved to the interior with a band of historical cultural luminaries encircling a roundel enclosing the character "gao" (elevated), the exterior carved freely with abstract flower scrolls, covered overall with an olive green glaze, ht. 4 1/8, dia. 6 3/4 in.
