Scrimshaw Whale's Tooth, 19th century, one side depicting a whaling scene with three longboat crews engaged in harpooning two sperm whales and the mother ship in the background, the reverse depicting the Marquasa Princess identified in an inscription below, (minor cracks), ht. 7 1/2 in.
Estimate $4,000-6,000

Several unobtrusive tight cracks on tip of tooth and a few around the base.
