Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Deer Decoration, Haxstun, Ottman & Co., Fort Edward, New York, late 19th century, five-gallon crock with lug handles, decorated with a leaping stag with a split rail fence and a tree stump in the background, impressed maker's marks, Albany slip-glazed interior, (minor rim chips, light stains), ht. 12 in.

3/4 x 1/2 in. chip to interior rim, 1 3/8 x 1/2 in. shallow chip from firing part of it is glazed and part of it shows a potstone burst on the exterior rim above stump, scattered areas of light stains around body.
