"CHARLESTOWN" Stoneware Jug, Frederick Carpenter, Charlestown, Massachusetts, 1812-c. 1827, swollen ovoid vessel with reeded neck and base, and applied pulled handle, the top and bottom dipped in ochre stain, the shoulder impressed "CHARLESTOWN," (firing surface impurities, lip chips),ht. 9 3/4 in.
