Brass and Steel Boxed Mandrel, Robert Barker, England, c. 1810, the vice-held lathe-powered tool with brass frame marked R BARKER, the faceplate with three thumbscrew-adjusted jaws, and adjustable steel tool rest, in original fitted dovetailed mahogany box (lid needs regluing), lg. 10 1/4 in.
