Classical Carved Wood and Giltwood and Brass Three-Light Candle Sconce, probably France, late 18th/early 19th century, the sconce with carved black painted eagle figure on a giltwood pilaster of acanthus leaves issuing three scrolled giltwood and wirework scrolled arms with round wooden candlecups, all mounted on a giltwood sash with tassel terminals draped over a knob with a lion head ornament, (minor imperfections),ht. 34 3/4, wd. 17 1/2, dp. 13 1/2 in.
