Bonaparte, Napoleon (1769-1821), Signed document, July 2nd, 1813, one page, on vellum, a lengthy decree exhorting the virtues of the Count Hogendorf and detailing his duty in the defense of, and his responsibilities to the town of Hamburg including an order to never surrender the town and giving him powers under military law, countersigned by the secretary of state and the secretary of war, framed, (some fading, old creases).
