(Revolutionary War, Massachusetts), Two framed Massachusetts promissory notes, first dated 1777, with sword in hand medallion and floral borders, signed by H. Gardner, D. Jeffries, E. Davis, and T. Summer, canceled; second June 1, 1779, with pine tree and snake medallion and motto borders, signed by H. Gardner, J. Scollay, and Edward Green, (both good, first with cancel marks affecting signature, second with burn through on signature).
