Longfellow, Henry Wadsworth (1807-1882), Five autograph letters signed, 1859-1880, two to Mr. (James) Fields, one discussing an upcoming article, the other concerning a his desire to obtain "a large collection of autographs for sale at No. 16 State Street and among them two letters of mine...take the trouble to put pass your eye over them to see if they ought to be suppressed, seized, confiscated and destroyed, as containing private matters not meant for the public"; two concerning a new editions of poetry, the last ordering two books from Reeves & Turner of London, (mostly all in good condition, some defects to all).
