Duke of Hamilton Presentation Meerschaum Pipe, second quarter 19th century, carved with a warrior bearing battle ax and battle flag, the horse dressed on mail, trodding on a fallen foe, with small initialed cipher, with Austro-Hungarian silver shank and lid dated 1834, the lid formed as a crown embellished with the twelve apostles, and engraved with inscription "Presented by the Duke of Hamilton to Mr. G. Gossner, B.M., 1st Royal Lanark Militia," in fitted box, (no stem), lg. 6 in.
