Description:

Currier & Ives, publishers (American, 1857-1907) after G.H. Durrie (American, 1820-1863) "The Farmer's Home - Winter," 1863, (Conningham, 1892). Identified in inscriptions in the matrix. Lithograph with hand-coloring heightened with gum arabic on paper, sheet size 20 1/2 x 28 in., with frame having label from Harlow & Co., New York, on the reverse. Condition: Margins of 2 inches or more, scattered stains and fox marks, minor crease u.r. corner of margin, overall toning, minor nicks to margin, tape residues to reverse. N.B. This print ranks #37 in THE NEW BEST 50.
