Auction Evaluations

Are you interested in consigning property to a Skinner auction? The first step is to send digital photographs of your items to be evaluated by a Skinner appraisal expert. If your property meets Skinner's auction criteria and minimum value level, we will contact you with auction estimates for the items, and provide instructions on how to consign.

Due to the large volume of requests we receive for auction evaluations, we regret that we are unable to respond to every inquiry. An appraiser will review your submission and contact you within three to four weeks if your material is appropriate for sale at auction.

To submit your items for auction evaluations, please fill out the form below. ONE item per form. Please have up to THREE jpeg images of each item ready to upload. After submitting the completed form, you will have the option to go back and submit another item. Your personal information will be retained for your convenience.

Skinner DOES NOT accept unsolicited property for auction. All those interested in consigning must first submit images for auction evaluations. All property received in the mail unsolicited will be Returned to Sender.
Please provide clear color photographic images.
All evaluations are provisional and subject to revision upon first-hand examination by a specialist.
Photographs and other materials sent to us by US Mail will NOT be returned.
We are unable to provide information regarding property that is of a type or value that is typically not offered by SKINNER at auction.
Please allow 3-4 weeks for a response.
Auction evaluations are statements of opinion only and shall not be relied upon by you or any third party as a prediction or guarantee of the actual selling price. SKINNER makes no representations or warranties with respect to the property, its authenticity, attribution, condition or otherwise. Furthermore auction evaluations are intended solely for the use of the owner of the property and only for the purpose of considering whether to consign the property to SKINNER. It may not be used by the owner for any other purpose or by any third party for any purpose whatsoever, nor may it be published.
