Anne Fallon joined Skinner as the Director of Discovery Auctions in 2013. Anne came to Skinner from Christie’s New York, where she worked as a specialist in the American Decorative Arts Department, ultimately overseeing the cataloging of Christie’s American Furniture, Decorative Arts, and Folk Art auctions.
Anne gained a thorough knowledge of the auction business during her time at Christie’s. Finding that the origins of American antiques resonated with her general interest in American history, she developed an affinity first for folk art and then later for the more formal styles of early American furniture and decorative arts. She has tremendous respect for the mission of this market: to identify historically significant property and place it in the hands of conservation-minded collectors.
Anne is reader of contemporary fiction and has reviewed recently published fiction in the monthly “Readers’ Prize Picks” blog for Elle Magazine. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History from Kenyon College.
